The Economics of Global Trade

All kinds of opinions exist about the merits of international trade on developing nations in Asia, Africa, and the Americas.  What does the actual data tell economists?  The question needs to be asked, using actual measurements, data, numbers, and cases (and not just theories):  Has global trade been good for developing nations?

-In one paragraph, analyze one set of data (table, chart, graph, raw numbers) in favor of global trade being good for a specific developing nation, using in-text citation.  Feel free to paste your data.

-In a second paragraph, analyze one set of data (table, chart, graph, raw numbers) against the idea of global trade being good for a specific developing nation, using in-text citation.  Feel free to paste your data.

-In a final paragraph, defend your position on whether global trade has been good for developing nations.

You may submit this post with a partner.  Make sure that both of your names are somewhere on the final post.

This assignment is due by 9:55 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12.
